Africville

A young girl visits Africville, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and all the stories she’s heard from her family come to mind. She imagines what the community was like many years ago - the painted houses nestled in the hillside, the field where kids played baseball, Tibby’s Pond where they went rafting, the bountiful fishing, the huge bonfires. At the end of her reverie, she visits the sundial where her great-grandmother’s name is carved in stone and celebrates a summer day at the annual Africville reunion festival.
